The Sound of Music

To be able to listen to and enjoy the sound of music is truly a blessing, but as we are able to hear with both of our ears and see with our eyes, we tend to take everything for granted. It was only today, after speaking with the mother of a student, that I realised how lucky I am to be able to hear her child learn and enjoy learning music, while both she and her husband never will. Despite this, her mother still reads the teacher’s lips carefully when he tells her the progress her son has made each week, and continues to accompany him to each lesson. Through this, I am able to realise how lucky I am to not just be surrounded by music, but be able to listen to and appreciate it all.
