Time is a very precious thing that we usually don’t even think about. Every day we waste our time doing nothing, waiting, sleeping, eating…but today I thought about how in a very small amount of time a lot can be achieved. Alot of people are, at first, skeptical about 30 minute instrument lessons, once a week. Parents also think that 10-20 minutes of practice a few times a week is not enough for their child. If enough focus, concentration and dedication is given in a short amount of time, a lot more can be achieved. A student can complete a given piece in just one lesson, or in just one week with enough dedication and less time than a student who spends a lot of time giving in half of the effort. Each 30 minute lesson involves the student’s utmost attention and concentration; this results in the guaranteed progress we have at this school.
