Just moments ago I participated in a Shine Music School first! This week’s guitar lesson took place out in cyberspace, mediated by a web camera and Skype.
I’m glad to report the lesson went by with only minor hiccups – which were expected. All in all, the online lesson felt very close to personally attending the school without the hassle of driving out to Parramatta and groveling for parking.
I really can’t explain it any other way because there wasn’t much difference from a normal lesson: It really is something that has to be experienced to be appreciated.
Usually I set out 40 minutes before class which takes half an hour. 40 minutes later, I am back home – a total time cost just under two hours. Today, the total time consumed was 35 minutes (the additional five minutes for setup).
The biggest surprise is definitely the amount of time saved. After all, this week’s lesson was completed just moments ago.
